This print was first released alongside the opening of the artists' JACK FREAK PICTURES exhibition at Centro de Arte Contemporáneo (CAC) Málaga, Spain.
Like many of the works in the JACK FREAK series, Gilbert & George encorporate the tagged, grafittied streets around which they live and work in the East End of London. Deth Kult makes reference to a 1980s punk rock band, a genre of music that was often aluded to in the artists' work of that era.
